Simple Healthy Sandwich Idea

Here is a super easy veggie sandwich idea that you can make for lunch when in a rush. Everything you need is probably already in your fridge, which is the great part about sandwiches; you can just throw a bunch of ingredients onto some bread and there you go! I think it is important to remember that being healthy doesn’t have to be hard. In the summer it is super easy to get some fresh fruits and veggies to add to you sandwiches.  I have come up with a simple combo that will leave you feeling nourished and energized for the rest of your day! I hope this post inspires you to take a peek at your fridge and come up with your own healthy sandwich combo. It is really not that hard!


  • Whole wheat brown toast
  • Tomato pesto sauce
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Avocado
  • Shredded carrots
  • Spinach
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • A sprinkle of ground pepper

For this recipe, I toasted some whole wheat bread and added some of my favorite tomato-pesto sauce. I sliced fresh veggies and fruit drizzled some balsamic over the mix. Finally, some cracked black pepper and you are good to go. It is just that simple!
